The taster

As fast or as slow as you like, run from the start poles to the large rocks at the north end of the beach, touch them, then come straight back. Flat and friendly. Perfect for littlies, first-timers, and anyone easing back into things.

3km

The favourite

The classic loop: beachfront paths, up the slope to the heritage pathway, across to Angels Beach, up Heartbreak Hill, and back to Shelly Beach. Most of the field runs this one.

The long one

The 3K route extended northward into the bush trails, past the white checkered boards to the turnaround point and back. Earns the post-run barbecue.

Can't decide?

Start at 1K and work up

Your first run on any distance is a time trial — there is no handicap yet, so there is nothing to lose. Many members run the 1K for their first week, then try the 3K once they know the vibe. You can run different distances week to week; the points system handles it.
