Once again we snuck in some great weather. Please continue to send good weather vibes on Sunday.
Despite it being Mother’s Day, it was one of our busiest Sundays to date. I think everyone was keen for one of the chocolates from Barry.
With it being the last week of the points month some people were out for a win.
Jasmine, for possibly the first time in many years, RAN in order to secure first place in her age category this week. But she will pay for it with a large jump in handicap. I hope the sweet victory was worth it Jas
The Percival family was out in full force, with Simon finally back of the bench. Although in the excitement of his first run of the season went too early. I am sure there was much ribbing in the household for the rest of the day. Although I would like to lodge my own ribbing, as none of the lady Percival’s did the 3km this week. Gemma, I need the competition out there.
Is it just me or are the 3km age brackets just getting bigger and bigger. Mine especially…I think I might have to start bringing spiked water or putting obstacles out on course
I joke I joke! The rivalry is strong, but the camaraderie is stronger. I figure this way we all have a little more reason to push harder.
But least I don’t have any Dogan’s in my age category. I am taking that as a win. Because that whole family is just too amazing for words when it comes to running.
I don’t think a week is going to go by when I don’t call out Finn for another amazing run. Can I please bottle some of his energy and talent? What an absolute blitz of a time.
For now that is all. But stay tuned for more cross country chronicles.
