Well you’ve all told me ChatGPT sucks. So here’s my own crack. If you want a callout, be sure to have some rad chats with me on a Sunday! That way I will know what names to lookout for.

The weather was strange for another exciting week at Cross Country.

The gauntlet has been thrown in the Wrightson family with Finn moving up to the 6km. At just 8 years old, this is legendary! Keep up the awesome work, Finn. Now, to convert Gabe, too? Maybe even Safia and Paul? 😉

Some strong performances across all the distances. But especially in the 1km. Shoutout to the McCarthy Family who came back with a bang this week, will all of them adding to their handicaps for the coming week. Also special mention to Bridget who decided she didn’t want to do the 3km, only to finish the 1km in a blistering time and the proceeded to go twice more.

Not to be outdone, Yasmin, blitzed her 3km and has now thrown the gaunlet for Bridget to move back up! Love a good family rivalry.

A special mention to my age bracket (22-44), but can you all stop coming or change distances? Especially the 5 of you that broke your handicap. I can’t age out either direction, and there is simply too much competition.

Speaking of my age bracket and not to be outdone by her daughter, although Hetty missed that memo, Gemma smashed her handicap this week. You are now my running carrot Gem.

Not to be outdone, the men had a blitzer too! Many will have huge handicap increases next week.

I think some of our older gentlemen missed the memo of a quick time out on the course 😉 You know who you are…I kid I kid! Good work crew.

Again, a huge thank you to the volunteers! Especially my repeat legends Simon, Kingsley and Lauren. You all hold a special place in my heart.

We all had a marvellous time at the BBQ and got to take the time to honour Barry and Jan for their 40 years of dedication to the club. This absolutely blows my mind. Mainly because it is longer then I have been alive.

Ok that’s enough waffle from me now. Have a great week. 🥰
